Field-Position Craftsman with Pro-Style Hang Time
Jackson Koonce is a punter whose value is all about hidden yardage and field position: at NDSU, he has been praised for hang time, fair-catch force, and placing kicks inside the 20, not just raw distance. In his 2017 season, he ranked ninth in the Missouri Valley Football Conference with a 38.9-yard average and was part of a coverage unit that allowed only three punt returns for a 0.0-yard average, a nasty little special-teams flex. The fit? Strong for teams that want a directional, coverage-first punter who can change game flow without being flashy.
