Elite Sack-Hunting LB with Career-Defining Intensity for Southeast Missouri State
Jacob Morrissey, the 6-0, 205-pound inside linebacker for Southeast Missouri State Redhawks, stands out as a rare sack-hunting LB who recorded a career-high two sacks in his first 2021 start alongside six tackles, proving he thrives under pressure. Tied for fourth on the team with 49 tackles in 2021 (27 solo) and 5.5 tackles for loss, Morrissey differentiates himself through relentless intensity, a 'never-sit' personality, and a knack for disrupting plays beyond standard stats. With no significant injury history and a reputation for elevating teammates, he is an ideal fit for teams needing a high-energy, versatile defender who brings both physicality and mental sharpness to the linebacker role.
