Cole Redding adds depth, length, and two-way high school production to Baylor’s safety room
Cole Redding enters Baylor as a 2026 sophomore safety with a compact 5-10, 187-pound frame and a résumé built on versatility, not flash: at New Braunfels High School, he logged 112 tackles, 3 interceptions, 2 kickoff-return touchdowns, and 10 total touchdowns in his career, then redshirted the 2025 season at Harding before joining Baylor. The appeal is his athletic background, effort level, and ball skills from playing both defensive back and receiver; he looks like a developmental defensive back who can help on special teams and bring competitive depth to a room that values reliable, assignment-clean play.
