Carla Balague brings size, floor-spacing, and veteran poise to Merrimack's front line
Carla Balague has been a multi-year contributor for Merrimack, with documented games of 11 points on 62% shooting in 2022 and a 6-for-13 outing with two threes in the same season, which hints at a frontcourt player who can stretch the floor and punish mismatches. Her background includes international experience with Spain at the FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup, and that usually translates to composure, discipline, and good decision-making. She looks like a solid fit if a team wants a forward-center who can play with maturity, space the lane a bit, and bring reliable effort over flash.
