UCF's Power-Ready Switch-Hitter with Elite Strength and Intensity
James Hankerson Jr. is a 6'3", 235-lb switch-hitter at UCF whose differentiator is his elite, extra-strong frame and relentless intensity, not just his stats. In the 2025 season as a redshirt freshman at Florida State, he hit .261 with 2 HRs and 9 RBIs in 46 at-bats; in 2026 at UCF, he posted .220 AVG with 11 RBIs. He switch-hits (S/L), throws left, and is a natural first baseman with a big, strong build that scouts call 'extra strong'—ideal for a team needing power and durability. No injury history reported; his personality is driven and competitive. He’s a great fit for teams seeking a physical, switch-hitting first baseman who brings power and intensity to the lineup.
