Cody Nitowitz is a high-OBP OF who’s driving Portland’s offense in 2026
Nitowitz has been one of Portland’s most reliable bats in the 2026 season, hitting around .279-.305 with a .794 OPS and drawing 31 walks, which ranks him among the WCC’s best at getting on base.[5][8] He also brought extra impact power with his first career home run in a 9-5 win over San Diego and finished that game 3-for-3, signaling a player who can contribute beyond contact hitting.[2] The differentiator: disciplined at-bats, on-base value, and enough gap-to-gap pop to fit as a steady top- or middle-order fit for a team that wants efficiency over flash.[2][5][8]
