Jacob Gutierrez has been a late-inning stabilizer for CSUB in 2026
In the 2026 season, Jacob Gutierrez emerged as a reliable bullpen weapon for Cal State Bakersfield, leading the Roadrunners with 5 wins and 4 saves while ranking second in innings pitched (60.0) and strikeouts (55). He showed real versatility and competitiveness, regularly pitching in pressure spots and delivering key relief outings, including a scoreless finish against Texas Tech and a clutch extra-innings performance at CSUN. He looks like a tough, high-leverage fit for teams that value strike-throwing, durability, and competitive fire.
