CJ Austin is a proven ball-hawk at Morehead State, flashing top-tier pass defense production
In his 2019 season at Morehead State, CJ Austin ranked second in the Pioneer Football League with 12 passes defended, a strong indicator of real coverage instincts and playmaking range from the DB spot. He also logged 13 tackles and three tackles for loss, showing he wasn’t just a cover guy but willing to trigger downhill and help against the run. For a team looking for a disciplined, opportunistic defensive back who can create disruption without needing the ball to come his way, Austin looks like a smart fit.
