Steady UTEP linebacker with special-teams roots and a blue-collar edge
Elijah Ruiz is a familiar name for UTEP because he has been a long-time Miner presence, with ESPN listing him as a linebacker and UTEP’s roster showing his program ties and personal profile. The available information points to a player whose value comes from experience, physicality, and reliability rather than splashy headline stats; that usually means a coach can trust him in the dirty-work roles that matter on defense and special teams. If you want a tough, seasoned fit with local roots and a team-first profile, Ruiz looks like a dependable add.
