Experienced Mercer safety who brings production and range
Luke Ward is a proven **Mercer safety** with a history of making plays in volume, highlighted by **66 tackles in 2021** across 12 games with five starts, which signals dependable run support and consistent involvement around the ball. He fits best as a physical, assignment-sound defensive back who can help stabilize the secondary; the downside is that the available public data is dated, so current year-to-year development and recent health status are harder to verify from reliable sources.
