Karyme Leal brings defensive versatility and academic consistency for Southern
Karyme Leal is listed on Southern’s 2026 softball roster as a catcher/infield option, giving the Jaguars a flexible defender who can help behind the plate or on the dirt.[1] Southern’s 2026 cumulative stats page shows limited offensive production so far, but her value is more about roster fit, defensive coverage, and depth than flashy numbers right now.[1] She also earned a spot on Southern’s 2026 SWAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, which is a nice little “coach’s dream” signal for reliability and discipline.[2]
