Towson RHP Jacob Whiteman brings upside, but results have been uneven
Jacob Whiteman is a 6-foot-3 right-handed pitcher whose profile still leans on projection: he showed a better 2025 than 2024, going 1-2 with an 8.00 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 27.0 innings over 17 appearances, after posting an 11.42 ERA in limited 2024 work.[2] He has enough strike-throwing and swing-and-miss flashes to keep him interesting, and his high-school track record plus size suggest development upside, but the inconsistency and run prevention numbers mean he looks more like a depth-and-upside arm than an immediate impact fit right now.[2][3]
