Julian McCall brings old-school fullback grit to Maine
McCall is a physically imposing, throwback fullback for Maine whose value shows up in the dirty work: lead blocking, special teams, and short-yardage toughness. The available Maine roster bio shows he has already been used at fullback and on special teams, with a touchdown catch and kick-return work in a past season, which hints at a versatile, assignment-sound player rather than a stat-stuffer. If your team wants edge, contact, and a glue-guy mentality, McCall fits the bill; if you need a high-volume offensive producer, his impact is more subtle than splashy.
