Big-bodied Colorado WR-turned-defender with intriguing length
Ussery is a 6-foot-3, 205-pound freshman from St. Mark’s in Dallas whose path at Colorado is already shifting: the Buffaloes listed him at wide receiver, but he requested a move to safety and was slated to practice on defense when August drills opened. The intriguing part is the frame and versatility, not a stat sheet—he brings size, length, and developmental upside, but he’s still early in the process and did not take part in spring ball. If a team wants a high-ceiling athlete who can grow into a role, he’s worth a look.
