veteran Towson DL, captain energy, and a glue-guy disruptor
In the 2024–25 stretch, Vinnie Shaffer stands out more for dependability and leadership than flash: Towson lists him as a graduate-student defensive lineman and he was honored on the 2024 CSC Academic All-District team, which says plenty about his polish and consistency. Earlier Towson coverage described him as a team captain on defense and a returning tackles leader on the line, with playmaking production that included sacks and tackles for loss. He looks like the kind of physical, high-effort interior presence coaches trust—smart, steady, and hard to move.
