Experienced Guard with Defensive Grit and Shot-Ready Upside
Middlebrooks is a seasoned Iona guard whose value comes from toughness, versatility, and experience, not just box-score flash. Iona lists her as a 5-9 guard who played in 27 games with six starts, averaging 2.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 0.6 assists in 14.9 minutes, while ESPN’s season line shows 1.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, 0.4 assists, and 26.1% shooting, so her recent scoring efficiency has been modest.[4][2] Her background includes being a former player of the year in high school and a college career interrupted by injury, which suggests resilience and a high compete level.[3] She fits best as a steady, physical, low-usage backcourt piece who can help on the glass and bring maturity to a rotation.[4][3]
