Sam Hamilton brings future-first tight end upside to WVU
Sam Hamilton is a 6-foot-4, 235-246-pound freshman tight end for West Virginia who arrived as a three-star recruit ranked around No. 44-80 nationally at TE, and his appeal is the old-school combo package: reliable hands, real blocking juice, and a frame built to add more NFL-style mass. In high school at Archbishop Moeller, he showed production with 22 catches for 272 yards and five touchdowns in 2024, then 15 catches for 157 yards and two scores in his senior year; WVU views him as a developmental piece with a strong chance to grow into a complete two-way tight end.
