UTEP’s Iron-Clad OL with NFL Grind and Second-Round Pedigree
Will Hernandez, a 6'2", 332-lb offensive guard from UTEP, is a second-round NFL draft pick (2018, NYG) known for his **elite mass**, **relentless run-blocking intensity**, and **durability** despite a 2024 IR status. His differentiator is a **rare combination of size and aggression** that made him a Pro Football Focus top-90 run blocker (80th overall in 2023), though pass protection (90th) remains a slight gap. With a **proven NFL contract history** ($790k guaranteed) and re-signing with the Arizona Cardinals in 2024, he brings **professional grit** and **team-ready reliability**. Ideal for teams needing a **physical, battle-tested guard** who thrives in high-pressure run schemes, Hernandez is a **low-risk, high-intensity fit** for any roster seeking immediate depth with NFL experience.
