a record-setting Cajuns workhorse with rare all-purpose production
McGuire was a high-volume, high-impact Louisiana RB whose game translated through consistency, versatility, and finishing power: he left as the program’s all-time leader in all-purpose yards, total points, and total touchdowns, and a 4x All-Sun Belt honoree. His value goes beyond box-score rushing totals—he produced as a runner and receiver, showed dependable durability over a big workload, and had the kind of competitive edge that made him a centerpiece rather than just a complement. If you want an offense-tilting back who can handle touches and create scoring chances, he was exactly that.
