Versatile Drake TE with Limited 2019 Production
Birchler’s current on-field impact appears modest, with 1 catch for 7 yards in the 2019 season, but his background shows real versatility: Drake lists him as a tight end, and earlier résumé notes he played multiple roles and produced as both a defender and receiver in high school. That kind of multi-sport, multi-position profile can matter for teams looking for a flexible depth piece or developmental TE with athletic upside. The caveat: the available stats do not show volume production, so his value is more about fit, traits, and roster flexibility than immediate box-score juice.
