Montrell Christian Jr. brings a big, durable arm and real projection to Georgia State’s bullpen
A 6-foot-3, 260-pound redshirt freshman right-hander for Georgia State in the 2026 season, Montrell Christian Jr. stands out for size, strength, and durability, with recruiting coverage calling him a competitive, athletic two-way talent and a strong work-ethic fit for the program[1][5]. He was rated among the top 500 players nationally in high school and arrived with showcase pedigree, including the Braves’ 44 Classic and Team Georgia’s PBR Futures Games[5]. The upside is obvious: power frame, arm-side projection, and a temperament that coaches described as perfectly suited to a hard-nosed staff[5].
