Auburn’s new ILB weapon: Adam Balogoun-Ali brings burst, coverage juice, and upside
Adam Balogoun-Ali is a high-upside inside linebacker prospect for Auburn in the 2026 class, rated as ESPN’s No. 1 ILB and described by 247Sports as a downhill, gap-shooting defender with legit drop-coverage ability. In the 2024 season, he posted 94 tackles at Cardinal Newman and earned two-time South Florida Sun-Sentinel first-team honors, which backs up the tape: explosive through contact, active in blitz packages, and already physically developed. The swing skill is consistency—especially tackling balance and reading/reacting—but the ceiling is real, and that makes him a strong fit for aggressive, multiple-front defenses.
