Hakeem Muhammad was a ball-hawking Prairie View A&M DB with proven playmaking juice
In the 2005 season, Hakeem Muhammad led the SWAC with five interceptions and added 49 total tackles, earning SWAC Newcomer of the Year honors and second-team all-conference recognition. He stands out as an instinctive defensive back who clearly had a nose for the football, plus the toughness to stack tackles and impact games beyond splash plays. That’s the kind of defender coaches love: disruptive, opportunistic, and not shy about contact. For a team needing takeaway production and competitive edge in the secondary, he looks like a strong fit.
