Dylan Koontz is a high-OBP, middle-order impact bat for Charlotte
Koontz’s calling card is run production with discipline: in 2026 he ranked among Charlotte’s and the American’s best in on-base percentage, home runs, RBIs, walks, and hit-by-pitches, and he set a program record for HBPs while repeatedly driving in big innings. He profiles as a gritty, damage-capable infielder who forces pitchers into the strike zone, and his production suggests a reliable fit for a lineup needing both power and table-setting ability. [2]
