Frontcourt Size and Projectable Rim Protection, but Career Still Interrupted by Injury
Ashley Bearden is a 6-? center who arrived at UNCG with a reputation for rebounding and shot-blocking upside; in high school, she reportedly averaged 5.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game as a junior. The big question is availability: according to UNCG’s roster bio, she appeared in just five games in 2015-16 before a season-ending injury, so her value is less about proven production and more about long-term developmental potential, size, and interior presence.
