Ohio CB Mekah Ryder brings track-speed upside and cornerback length to the Bobcats
Mekah Ryder is a former highly rated Texas cornerback who also ran track, giving Ohio a defensive back with verified speed and developmental upside. In high school, he was a 247Sports-rated Class of 2022 CB and logged a 51.59 in the 400 meters, which suggests range and recovery speed that matter on the boundary. His value is less about flashy stat production and more about fit: he profiles as a competitive, athletic cover man who can grow into a role in Ohio’s secondary if he continues refining technique and consistency.
