versatile Boise State defender with a safety-to-linebacker edge
Ellis Powers profiles as a versatile Boise State defender whose value comes from flexibility and physicality more than pure box-score pop. Public roster and stat pages list him as a defensive back/safety rather than a true linebacker, which suggests he’s the kind of hybrid piece coaches love for sub-packages, special teams, and matchup-driven roles. If your team wants a smart, adaptable defender who can flip between roles and bring toughness, Powers is worth a look; if you need a headline-grabbing tackling machine, he’s more of a supporting chess piece than the main event.
