Iowa’s glue guard who turned leadership into a career
In the 2020-21 season, Zion Sanders wasn’t a high-volume stat monster, but she was the kind of guard coaches trust: steady, selfless, and respected enough to serve as a captain at Iowa. Her best traits were leadership, defensive activity, and efficient, low-mistake play — she posted 11 assists and 10 steals in just 70 minutes during the 2019-20 season, plus a perfect 4-for-4 from the line. If your team needs a tough, culture-setting connector rather than a usage-hungry scorer, Sanders fits beautifully.
