Sydney Mathiason brings size, experience, and steady frontcourt toughness to Wisconsin
Mathiason is a 6-foot forward whose value has long been built on versatility, rebounding, and shot-blocking; in high school she was a four-year starter, two-time captain, and senior stat leader at 10.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.3 blocks per game. At Wisconsin, her role has been limited statistically, but her profile points to a dependable, team-first post player with the toughness and basketball IQ that coaches like in a culture fit.
