Iowa's All-Time WR Legend with Elite Return Speed & Versatility
Derrell Johnson-Koulianos, Iowa Hawkeyes' career leader in receptions (173) and receiving yards (2,616, 2007-2010), etched his name in Big Ten history as the all-time kickoff return yardage leader (26.3 ypr since 1976), capped by a iconic 99-yard TD return vs. Ohio State in 2009. A four-year starter with 17 TD grabs and MVP honors in the Big 33 All-Star Game—rushing, passing, and receiving scores—DJK's explosive playmaking, toughness (played through injuries like Orange Bowl hip/knee issues), and do-it-all intensity make him a coach's dream. Now thriving as an OC at Thiel College, his Hawkeye legacy screams game-changer.
