Evan McCollough brings versatility, ball skills, and two-way athletic instincts to JMU's secondary
McCollough is intriguing because he arrives as a defensive back with proven football instincts and athletic versatility, including a high school background that shows production on both sides of the ball, not just in coverage. JMU’s roster bio highlights him as a Maryland standout who posted 40 tackles and an interception, suggesting he plays with physicality and trust-worthy instincts. For a team fit, he looks like a developmental DB with upside: the kind of player who can compete in coverage, tackle confidently, and add competitive toughness, even if his full college impact is still being built.
