Big-bodied SMU front-seven piece with proven pass-rush pop
Beau Barnes looks like the kind of linebacker who can wreck a game with length, power and disruption; in his 2014 SMU season, he logged 16 tackles, 1 sack, 2 tackles for loss and 2 quarterback hurries, and earlier at SMU he was cited as a front-line anchor with 5 sacks and 13 TFL in 2014 team previews. His calling card is impact plays rather than empty-volume tackling, which makes him appealing if your team wants an aggressive defender who can stress protections and create chaos in the backfield.
