Sacramento State LB Legend Turned Defensive Coach
Henry Fernandez, a standout Sacramento State Hornets linebacker from the 2014 season, earned honorable mention All-Big Sky honors as a team co-captain, starting all 12 games and setting a school record with 27 tackles in one game while posting double-digit stops in nine contests—proving his relentless intensity and leadership. Now a defensive assistant/coach with the Hornets since 2015 and recently safeties coach at NM State (2024), his football IQ and player development make him a differentiator; ideal for teams seeking a proven, passionate coach to elevate defenses, not an active player.
