FCS Star Transferring Big-Play Potential to Clemson Powerhouse
Tristan Smith, a 6'5" WR who exploded for 76 catches, 934 yards, and 6 TDs at Southeast Missouri State in 2024 (7th in FCS receptions/game), transitioned to Clemson in 2025 with 24 rec for 239 yards and 1 TD over 13 games, flashing star potential with a 79-yard game vs. Duke and a clutch 23-yard TD on 4th-and-21 vs. SMU. His size, contested-catch prowess, and spring game heroics (72-yard grab) mark him as a rising red-zone mismatch; despite modest ACC output, his work ethic and JUCO polish scream high-upside fit for teams needing a physical X-receiver with playoff pedigree.
