Michael James brings special-teams pop, but Texas Southern fit looks unlikely for this DB
Michael James is not currently a Texas Southern cornerback; the available football records point to a place-kicker at Texas State, not a CB at Texas Southern, so this appears to be a roster mismatch rather than a scouting target. In the 2024 season, he went 2-for-5 on field goals and 2-for-3 on extra points, showing a useful leg but not the profile of a defensive back. If the name is correct and the position is not, the key trait is versatility; if the school/position is correct, the public data do not support a reliable evaluation.
