A.J. DeShazor Jr. gives South Alabama a reliable, playmaking linebacker presence
DeShazor has been a steady, high-volume defender for South Alabama, with 124 solo tackles, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 2 interceptions listed in his career stats, showing he can impact both run support and coverage. South Alabama’s roster notes also show he ranked 25th in the league with 5.3 stops per outing and led the Jaguars in tackles in multiple games, which points to consistency and motor more than flash. He looks like a fit for a defense that values instinct, tackling reliability, and assignment discipline.
