Record-Setting Freshman Punter Phenomenon for App State Mountaineers
Bentlee Critcher burst onto the scene as a Class of 2013 freshman at Appalachian State, shattering school and SoCon records with a jaw-dropping 45.9 yards per punt average in 2013—ranking 3rd nationally—while leading the conference with a 38.3 net average and limiting returns to just 16 of 37 punts. His elite leg strength and pinpoint placement turned field position into App State's superpower, earning Third-Team All-America honors; a versatile weapon (WR, kicker too) with no notable injury flags, he's the dream special teams ace for any squad chasing punting dominance.
