efficient, experienced South Alabama QB with dual-threat value
Desmond Trotter has been a productive, veteran QB for South Alabama, posting a career 62.9% completion rate with 3,828 passing yards, 29 passing touchdowns, and only 11 interceptions, plus mobility that keeps defenses honest. In the 2023 season, he was efficient in limited action, completing 29 of 41 passes for 351 yards and 5 TDs. His best differentiator is steady command: he protects the ball, operates the offense calmly, and has enough running ability to punish soft coverage. He profiles as a smart, experienced fit for a team valuing efficiency and composure over high-volume flash.
