Grambling State guard Dierra Ely brings efficient scoring, playmaking, and disruptive defense
In the 2025-26 season, Dierra Ely is emerging as a high-usage guard for Grambling State, averaging 32.3 minutes, 8.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game while shooting 41.9% from the field and 33.3% from three.[4] Grambling lists her as a freshman guard from Lamar HS in Arlington, Texas, and those steal numbers point to a pesky, active defender who can change possessions and push tempo.[5][4] If you need a tough, two-way guard with length, energy, and room to grow into a bigger offensive role, she looks like a strong fit.
