6-foot-8 lefty with a starter’s track record and late-inning poise for SLU
Dylan Gormont is a big-bodied, 6-foot-8 left-handed pitcher for Saint Louis who brings real starter experience and a physical look that can bother hitters. In the 2024-25 season at Metropolitan Community College, he made 13 appearances with 12 starts, throwing 54.1 innings with a 4.80 ERA, 40 strikeouts, and a 1-1 record; SLU also noted a 3.45 ERA across 15.2 innings in his freshman 2024 season. He has already shown he can win games and handle pressure, including earning his first SLU win in 2026 and working out of a bases-loaded jam. If you want a tall, projectable lefty who has competed as both a starter and late-game option, he’s worth a look.
