Justin Craigwell brings homegrown power and upside to Portland State’s backfield
Craigwell entered Portland State as a local product with a strong high-school résumé, including 806 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior at Lake Oswego, plus first-team All-Three Rivers League and second-team All-State honors in 2023.[1] The Vikings’ staff calls him “a baller,” praising his special mix of athleticism, power, and high character—exactly the kind of back who can add juice in short-yardage and grow into a dependable every-down option.[1] As a freshman in 2026, he is still an evaluation play with no season stats yet, but the early buzz says he has real physical upside and homegrown leadership value.[1][2][5]
