TJ Comstock brings two-way production and secondary versatility to Gardner-Webb
Comstock stands out as a versatile defensive back with proven ball production and tackling upside: Gardner-Webb’s roster notes show he posted 50 total tackles with 2 interceptions in one season and 29 tackles with 1 pass breakup in another, while also appearing as a quarterback in his bio, which suggests strong field awareness and football IQ. That kind of multi-role background can matter if you want a DB who processes quickly, competes physically, and fits multiple coverages rather than just chasing highlight stats.
