dependable, high-IQ middle linebacker with a tackler’s profile
Smigelsky was described as a heady, sure-tackling middle linebacker and one of Chattanooga’s most experienced defenders, with a career-high 10 tackles in a game against Georgia Southern during his senior season. He fits best for teams that value assignment-sound play, leadership, and reliability over flash: the kind of linebacker who keeps the defense organized, finishes plays, and brings a steady veteran presence in the middle.
