Rene Galván brings polished bat, steady outfield value to UTRGV
Galván is a proven run producer for UTRGV, coming off a 2025 season in which he hit .266 with a .848 OPS, 4 home runs, 19 RBI, 39 hits, and 10 doubles while appearing in 39 games.[1] His value is more than the numbers: he has a contact-oriented profile with gap power, can get on base, and has enough defensive versatility to matter in the outfield. That combination makes him a useful fit for a team that wants a dependable, competitive left-handed bat with upside in everyday lineup roles.[1][2]
