Jason Babin brings WMU legacy, NFL pedigree, and a proven pass-rush profile
Jason Babin is a former Western Michigan standout and NFL Pro Bowler, known for his explosive edge pressure, relentless motor, and production as a pass rusher—he was twice named his conference’s defensive player of the year in college and became WMU’s only first-round NFL draft pick. Those traits matter if you value experience, toughness, and a disruptive presence off the edge, though he is now a former player rather than an active college athlete. He stands out less for raw stats today and more for the high-level standard and mentality he represents.
