Sean Lynch was a tackling tone-setter for Drake’s defense
In the 2018 season, Sean Lynch was a fifth-year defensive back for Drake who earned PFL Defensive Player of the Week honors after a nine-tackle outing and finished the year with 72 tackles, showing he could diagnose plays quickly and bring reliable run support. He was also a 2017 First Team All-PFL selection, which points to proven production and consistency rather than a one-game flash. At 5'9", he brought toughness, experience, and leadership more than pure size — the kind of DB coaches trust in a disciplined, physical defense.
