a veteran UTRGV post with block-and-grind value
Taylor Cyphers is a former UTRGV women’s basketball forward/center whose profile points to a low-usage, defense-first frontcourt player: in 2012-13 she earned minutes as a freshman, and in 2013-14 she had a career night with 3 points and 2 blocks while showing some rim protection and physicality[2]. The available record is limited and old, so there is no reliable evidence of current college production, but her differentiators were interior defense, toughness, and willingness to do the dirty work—traits that can fit a team needing size and activity around the basket rather than a high-volume scorer[2].
