Beau Watkins brings proven ball production and steady safety play to Montana State
In the 2007 season, Beau Watkins started all 11 games at strong safety for Montana State, finished second on the team with 58 tackles, and added three interceptions, earning Honorable Mention All-Big Sky recognition. He profiles as a reliable, physical back-end defender who shows up on special teams and has the kind of toughness coaches love in a secondary piece. If you want a safety who can tackle, read the game, and make the occasional impact play, he looks like a solid fit.
