Rutgers freshman LHP Justin MacCormack brings polish, command, and a high-upside Massachusetts pedigree
MacCormack arrives at Rutgers in the 2026 season as a left-handed freshman with a reputation for strike-throwing and poise, highlighted by a 2.45 ERA with 67 strikeouts against just eight walks in 33.2 innings as a junior at Middlesex. He was rated the No. 5 left-handed pitcher in Massachusetts by Perfect Game, which fits the profile of a durable, competitive arm who already shows advanced control and enough deception to miss bats. If your team wants a young southpaw with upside, coachability, and a strong academic/character fit, he’s a smart name to watch.
