Darius Banks brings speed, return juice, and versatile depth to Hampton’s secondary
In the 2025 season, Hampton’s Darius Banks showed useful all-around value with seven games played, one start at North Carolina Central, and special-teams pop: six kickoff returns for 112 yards, a 18.7-yard average, and a long of 51 yards against Morgan State. At 5-foot-8 and 165 pounds, he looks like a quick-twitch, competitive defender who can help on defense and in the return game. The appeal is upside and versatility; the caution is that his impact has been more complementary than headline-grabbing, so he fits best as a high-energy depth piece with special-teams value.
